How many did you receive and when?

Did you report those messages?

If nobody reports them, the system won't detect them Sad

Hello I have been getting these e-mails since I joined a few days ago. I have received abouot 8 of them in e-mail but when I check here thery are not listed in my in-box. How do they get through when I have those countries blocked and how do I report them??? Seems to me if FB knows they are scammers, why let them through and send them to me.

it`s an uphill struggle, as many profiles are deleted more come up in their place, along with the legitimate ones. scamming is on the rise and becoming more popular.
you will experience this problem in many other dating sites.

cut and paste the scam mails from your email inbox to this thread.
as soon as the mods see it, the profile will be deleted.

The only solution would be to delay inbox notifications for a day......as they are instantly and scammers are sometimes only detected after 1 hour or so....

I have deleted both...the spammer and this andy guy.

If anyone receives spam, just message me and he/she will be deleted immediately.....if nobody complains it is hard for me to find out!

I personally don't think there is "problem" with spammers on this site...

I check out the all profiles with complaints every day and delete the spammers....about 3 per day.... who sent out about 20 messages on average...and most of them are deleted before anyone even logs in to check the messages.

Once in a while people dont complain about spammers and then they hang around on here for longer...because they are not detected.....

I found one here that liked to send packages to me to send to Nigeria.
Unforunately we think they were using fake or stolen credit card numbers
to buy merchandise on the internet and then have a person state side send
the packages to Nigeria. They would even e-mail the shipping tags to to you
and all you have to do is wait for DHL or FedX to come and pick them up.
We stopped the packages and checked the invoicing and notified the Companies. They sent return tags and UPS picked-up the freight. We reported
the incident to local Law enforcement as well as reported it to the the Law
enforcement officials in the area that the card holder was believed to reside.
If I get a letter from a person that I Feel is questionable I usually don't even reply.Pay sites have as much trouble with scammers as free sites.
I have found scammers at most every site I have been to.There is good information on the internet about scams and scammers. If you have a Russian check the black lists.Check the Names too against lists of names
used by scammers.I think the stated department has postings of commons
and current scams used by nigerians.I have found if you get a letter from
a person you suspect of being a scammer wait several days and check to see if their profiles has been removed from the date site.Alot of scammers
will go to a site and spam a bunch of people and disapear. Then they just
sit back and wait to see who e-mails them at their private mail box.Learn to
read the expanded headers on e-mails and check IPs.Russians like to use
mailing programs called Bats.very good chance you have a scammer but not always true.Where servers trace to by IP gives a clue also.Russiandetective is a good site to learn about headers and they are pretty good at determining the possibilities of a person being one.If something looks to good to be true.It most likely is.

Toby,
I havent had a spammer write to me for ages, Im feeling a bit left out here.

Don, Ive always assumed that all Nigerians on the internet are thieves (a bit general but I think it has saved me from being scammed - why else would one want to write to me? Thats the same as for Russians, Latvians, Americans...), Ive noticed that they are getting better with their typing and English skills so you have to check their profile details so that things like their hometown, county and country al match.

Ive never heard of the scam of using you as a forwarding address, sounds like money laundering just using goods bought over the internet instead of dollar bills

... I also can not imagine anyone ever get 8 spammers a day...that's ridiculous.
