At a date loads of people meet up in a place. Where as at a date only two people meet up who have pre-arranged it between themselves. Meets are a good way to meet people from this site rather than just browsing profiles and contacting people and then corresponding online. You are more likely to get a date with someone if you come to the large group meets.

You should treat a meet then as any other night out but one where you have some mates along too. Going to internet forum meet ups remind me of when I first started going out for nights out when I was 18. I lived in Staffordshire in a smallish urban area of about 350,000 people so when out around the city centre pubs bumped into loads of people I knew so was never alone on a night out.
