how come ppl dont reply to messages, i mean i thought that was the point of these things, if i get one ill always reply even if its to say sorry not really intersted but cheers for the message, common courtesy.

men get one a month...women get 10 a day...usually spam ones...
if they dont reply there not interested...end of..

In a nutshell. If you reply, they reply back again and it goes on and on. Best to say nothing I think.

I don't bother with random messaging.
I think there's a lot of arrogance with some women on the main site...probably wouldn't get a second look in a pub/club. But spoilt for choice on fb.
Better off on the message board....You can get to know people on here.

Anyway Welcome to the boards Briggsy, personally I reply to any message that has had a bit of effort made to it, and I think you will find from most of the threads here that the other girls who post think similarly.
Sometimes tho if you do not like the look of someone then it is hard to find the words to say thanks but no thanks without hurting someones feelings so best just not to reply.
My advice would be, hang around the boards a little, always some good chat (and a lot of silly shite) going on and it saves you from having to send the messages and then sit by your inbox!

thats technology for you; its easy to ignore someone when they're not standing infront of you. whatever the reasons, good ones or not.

To be honest Briggsy (hi by the way
), if blokes spoke to me in public the way some of them do in private messages, half of them would get a slap! Then there's the one's that just say 'hi' or 'here's my msn .....'. No effort whatsoever. I'd never msn with someone that I'd not exchanged a single pm with and chances are I'd be really uncomfortable if a stranger came up and said nothing more than that in public.
*NB. to those from the forums that have dropped in a simple 'hi', it's different. I've more than likely exchanged a bit of banter in here first

, the messages in my opinion tend to be a little arrogant in a 'ain't you lucky I've chose to message you !!' way. I then reply to be polite and I get one sentence reply from her. Then I think of a witty reply, as men have to do on here, and I get another short one line reply..and I think to myself why am I bothering ??, I'm not really interested in her. Its all to much like hard work to me.
As I said I don't send random messages to Profiles on the main site, stopped after the first day I joined. Also I should imagine there are a lot of men that aren't psychos that don't get replies.
But obviously I did differentiate between the message board and the main site, and all the women on here are lovely.
