i totally understand ~ i've made some poor choices in the past but
like anything new and different making mistakes b4 u get it right is only natural. You just need a bit of faith that you'll get it right in the end and not to worry too much.

About dating etiquette. If you don't kiss a girl on the first date, you're a gentleman. If you don't kiss her on the second date, you're "just a friend".
Ok this is gonna sound clinical but it's a classic:
Stand close
"I really had a great time tonight"
"So did I"
Look into her eyes then at her mouth (strong signal)
Lean in a bit
If she hasn't jumped back by now - kiss her gently

didn't sound like it was fireworks anyway hun so maybe sending the wrong text was a good slip to make.

But i just cant get my head around it all! Can anyone at all shed some light on the whole dating "game" and how to make myself feel better and more confident about it? Rant over lol! Hope all are well! |
by going on more dates, learning about the way you react and deal with the situations, then start to emphasize your strengths and improve upon your weaknesses.

I wouldn't take it too much to heart mate. It doesn't really sound like there was a connection there anyway. Just treat it as a confidence building exercise and move on.
Definitely agree on the first date/gentleman thing. Even more so if you've been talking/txting for a while before you get to meet. A bit of self-control pays dividends. Its very easy to put out the Buffalo Bill vibe if you're not careful. Of course if they take the lead it'd be rude not to reciprocate, but then its a different kettle of fish with men's attitudes to that sort of thing.
Write this one off as a near-miss and get your shit together for the next one. If you've learned something from it then it wasn't all in vain.

I think I can work out what a buffalo bill vibe means but explain it to me please lol

'Oh, and senator, just one more thing; love the suit.'
That should cover it.
Basically giving the impression that you're going to whisk her home to live in the pit in your basement, where she can spend her days putting the lotion in the basket before you make a nice coat out of her. Still, its a funny old world out there, I wouldn't be surprised if some women go for that sort of thing. Now where did I put those night vision goggles...
