Has anyone actually managed to get a date on here yet.

This web site is filled with reasonable looking guys and gals, so what's the deal? After reading some of the forum posts, looking at member's profiles, and generally trawling through; it just all seems a bit.. ermm dead.

So if you manage to read this post, any time even years down the line, please state if you managed to get a date from this site, even if it was a crap one. If you feel like sharing any deals, I would sure like to know.

Yes, loads of people have got dates from this site - some have even got married. The site is often dead in the day because people are at work etc. It's been slow for a couple of weeks though, probably due to site maintenance and the new chatroom.

We are all looking for different things by being a member on Flirtbox, a date being only one of them. Some people have even met and got married.

Over the last couple of years I've met four people from the forums, and had quite a few more than that in dates..... plus offers that I didn't take up for various reasons. So, yes it's successful for me. Then again I do answer my mail and initiate contact too.

However, I think it's about what you put into it as to what you'll get out of it. Like if you show up as being on line regularly, you're bound to get more messages than if you don't.

If you use the forums or chat rooms you will get more response too. I check out other users and sometimes send them PM if I've noticed a new face on the forums.

What I also like is that I have built up a number of people whom I enjoy messaging or talking with, even if we don't intend to meet.

Then there is the on-line community, a nucleus of people from these forums that float about the web into other sites and it feels like you've got some good mates around wherever you go. Sometimes it's light-hearted banter that goes around, but also there is great help and support from everyone when the going gets tough. I really value these 'friends' a lot, and there are some with whom I speak to on the phone or messenger.

Blimey, slightly better response than I thought. You're not all bots or some auto reply feature built into the forum to make the site look busier than it really is??

Only kiddin', well it seems that this site does what it says on the tin, perseverance is what's required next (I guess)

Anyone else want to add their experience(s), me and many others are probably interested to know. You know what to do...



p.s. In my last post I said "...feel like sharing any deals..." I meant details, not deals. In either case I sound like a perv (which I try not to be)

I have had several dates in the past 2 years all of which were off this site, not had any from outside...mostly they were just a coffee, 2 or 3 were a for a nice meal & a few drinks...One was a casual thing for 5 months (my first internet date) had a couple of nice weekends which went really well but didnt lead to anything but I have made some lovely friends who I will not forget...

So, all in all it can work but as others have already said, it depends what you're looking for...I am yet to meet the one! If they do excist that is? Good friends will do me for now

A casual look at this site will reveal a lot of abandoned profiles and people who won't respond to "cold-calling" private messages.

However did just a little deeper and you'll find a lot more.

I think this site does work, I know of a few who have got together from here. I have'nt mannaged to get a date from here... but then I have'nt tried beyond my first couple of weeks.

I use another site for that, just come on here to make friends... although if something did come up I wouldnt say no.

I havent had any dates on this site, its pretty dead for me. But I know of a few people that have had a few relationships out of it.

Hanging about on the forums has worked for some.
I know some that have practically gone through the forums
