That's one view. Another would suggest that you make some effort to get a feel for what they're like too, before doing that

Very true- the boards are nice to see what people are like- you can interact with people without putting yourself completely out there. But like I said before, if you take a chance, you never know what may happen

Very true. I'm not ready to do that, right now, though. I just joined a place like this to see what was about and help put me in the mood for looking for someone new. I won't turn down a good offer, though, of course. Anyway, in the end, it's kinda turned out more like just having another forum to post in and talk to people. The fact that a fair few ladies here might be single is just a potential bonus.
