Hello,

Ok, so here's my problem.

I have decided to fufill my life long ambition of moving to America after I (hopefully) fulfill another life long ambition of getting my PhD. This will be a few years away yet but I am determined to do it.

With that in mind I have decided also to not get involved with anyone here so as to avoid any future complications. (this is what ended my last relationship, said person def. not wanting to ever move to America) I'm also not prepared to take anyones word that "oh yes, I want to move to America one day" I'm not giving up this dream for anyone, so don't want to risk sudden mind changes later on down the road.

So, now I'm stuck being single for a very long time until someone sugested that maybe I could meet an American in London, thus potentially avoiding future problems. This is still obviously a big ask though as I would be looking for someone who is:

1. American but currently living in London
2. Planning on being in London for a while
3. Planning to eventually go back to America
4. Looking for someone
5. Interested in me

Very tall order! But, if you don't ask in life, you dont get

So, if anyone has any suggestions or by some strange twist of fate is an American looking for an English girlfriend, I'd love to hear from you. Otherwise its a long bout of singledom for myself.

Hi there, good luck with that! Any particular part of America you wanting to go live? That might have a bearing, especially if said guy in London wants to go "back home".
Have you considered striking up a liaison with a guy currently living in America?
Personally, that far a long-distance thang would not suit me, and I guess you'd both have to be pretty rich to pay all those airfares back and forth....but lots of people do it.

Yes, good luck. I can completely relate to that. I want to go on a mission to inhabit Mars with several women and build a new super race there. Unfortunately I'm having difficulty finding takers. Red tape in the european space project is making things even worse.....

Mars is part of the European Union now?!!
