Maybe she doesn't want to 'do watersports etc.' simply because she chooses not to? I would hope that my man and I would have such an established relationship that by the time he worked up the courage to ask me to do something of that nature that if I were to say no he would take it on the chin, simple as. Its about respecting one another isnt it? As for taking her to the gym, that made me howl with laughter, if I had been with a guy long enough to have established a stable relationship and he did that either I would say something similar to the above As In Theres The Door Ciao or he wouldn't think like that in the first place cuz presumably if i was a non-skinny lady when he met me then that's the person he fell for in the first place surely? If you like skinny ladies then why not simply just date skinny ladies?

But on a more serious note, now that i've given it some more thought:
How do you know which women are going to like you ogling them? Do you wait for them to give you the eye first?
It occured to me that in the gym then there must be:
men ogle women
men ogle men
women ogle men
women ogle women.

I wouldn't like to go to a gym and be ogled by a woman and i think i have the right to not expect it, on the other hand i suppose (not being a gym goer) i may or may not mind a man ogling me?
I guess men must feel the same? A straight guy not wanting to be stared at by a homosexual, but may like a woman to admire his hard-earned physique. On the other hand i dont think theres anything wrong with two people whoever they are, complimenting each other on each others bodies as a friendly confidence booster - and surely the gym is *the* place to do it?
So how does it work for you?

It's a very interesting concept (to me).

To get back on track...I'll answer this purely from my own perspective, and stick to the original post.

Scenario:
I love "Joe" and he loves me.
But I also love me too.
I respect my own body and I value my own sense of worth/values/morals/opinions
And I respect his too.

We are Equals. So I would not expect to do 'anything' he asked me to do just because he asked me, I would have to want to do it. And vice versa.

If he tried to persuade me to overstep my boundaries "because I love him" I would reckon that he did not in fact respect my body or my mind as much as I had hoped he would.

So, to answer your questions, No I would not do 'anything' just because I love a man and I would not want either of us to 'wear the trousers' or do any string pulling either.

A woman can be open-minded without having a mind like jello-o that can be manipulated at will. Surely being open-minded simply means not dismissing an idea without giving it any serious consideration that it might deserve? (It amazes me when someone is called narrow-minded just because they've thought about something and decided they don't agree with it).
