Children are a nightmare......I know, I was one!

Joking aside, I think many people have grown up too selfish to have children, hence many children don't experience quality family time, they're often supplied with things to keep them occupied whilst the adults do what they want.

Then there are also many people whose worlds revolve around doing the best for their kids and includes the bedtime story, family meals and activities and generally doing and sharing things together.

Then there are the reluctant parents who may have had children for all the wrong reasons, and society needs to accept, and reduce the pressure some people feel to have a family to please someone else rather than themselves.

I have 2 grown up children, physically miles away, yet their impact on my day to day life is still evident. Love them both lots and lots! Wouldn't want to fall pregnant now though.

No. I reckon that's what makes us different from animals. We do it primarily to bond with one another on an emotional level, or for instant gratification (for self) - humans primarily used sex for procreation back when we were still evolving I reckon. Otherwise, no one would have invented the first contraceptive, there would have been no need.

Procreation is only one function that sex is used for

As RG says it is a way to bond, to get gratification.

It is also a form of exercise.

I would like to have a child or two at some point, but I would have to be in a good place in life and with the right person. I do think about it, but I have to find a woman who will let me touch her first Laughing
