Damn you spotted the flaw in my perfectly constructed arguement.
Aw well such a cute little pop pixie she is

True.
It's not 'goth' because it's heavy metal.
I'm getting sick of these stupid pre-teens in town thinking they are goth because they listen to crap like linkin park.

Goth has very little to do with any particular kind of music, its more to do with attitude to life and how you express yourslef, yes you do get goth bands who protray that, but theya can usually be classed in any number of rock genres |
Unlike this topic
The first Goth band (as described by the media) was Bauhaus.
I was trying to get what people thought the musical definition was.

hahah I say screw music stereotyping genres, and putting them into box's. music is to set you free from such things.
p.s someone mentioned killswtich engage, lamb of god, and a select few as goth?? ahah I LOVE those bands, and Im the least "goth" person.
what makes a person a certain person??

i really hjate it when ppl define themselfes as something, just dont c the point, if makes me feel that if u lable urslef as a goth, or chav etc then ur limited to just that, dont c the point!!! it really annoyes me when ppl come up 2 me and call me a goth, or cyber goth or anythying like that, im not either of those things!!! |
exactly! people werent meant to be labled, were all individuals even if we all look the same, or dress the same.

clothes dont make people. so even if you do dress/have the same look as a person, you still arent literally the same person.
unless of course your superficial and vain and think clothes make the person, and feelings, opinions, thoughts, and a wide range of interests dont count.

I'm talking about the idiots that dress the same and say their clothes are 'unique'. Not so unique if somebody else is wearing the exact same thing, right?
I am far from superficial and vain.
I know that nobody is the same, but i'm sick of people claiming they are different from others..when they really aren't...On the outside.

. once again though, sorry.

This music don't do it for me.
I like to watch live bands and enjoy the atmosphere, in my experience of this music at festivals its a little on the miserable side with a tendancy to leaving me feel unfufilled with excitement. maybe if i tried to listen to the words a little more I would find something...but what do I know im a dancer and I like to feel my music not just depress myself in it! |
hey man cool that your a dancer, but goth music can also give someone a feeling of empowerment, uplift, and make some people happy, it doesnt just depress..
06.10.2006, 18:38 quote
