I know, I'm trying to get people to go and see an old school mate playing in a band (The Integers) in Southport at the Mount tonight but noone's answering! The Jukes were on in the Academy last night and my ears are still ringing Very Happy

Going back there to see Nils Lofgren in November and he's one of my favorite musicians at the moment.

figures to be honest, most people who like metallica, deftones etc etc hate linkin park, but its only because they have been so successful so fast LOL, why peeps cant respect a band is beyond me.

Just got back from a local gig by a couple of mates. The band is called The Integers. Just as my ears were starting to recover from last night too Smile

Fantastic, especially considering it was their first real gig together too.

Just returned from Riga where I watched one of Underworlds best performances, 3 Hours of bouncing! I came out of there thinking I was 10 foot tall

for cocktails the candle bar in the main square, for loose women slip a doorman 5 lats and get him to phone one it will save you a fortune (not that I did that) for loose fellas, the place is full of them looking for the women! the cuba bar 200yards from the main square has weekday happy hours between 5-7pm, a must for doubling up on the drinks. The food is great in most places but the DeLarcy Irish bar is exceptional, also the Medievil place is very good but a little more pricey. Fags are around 80p for 20 if you smoke bring a bagfull back and if you dont bring them back anyway to pay for your holiday!

Hmmm..sounds interesting!
I did go a couple of years ago, but it was with the parents..this time it's just me, my sister and my cousins going
Guess who's going to have to do any translations? Poor ol' me!

20 fags for 80p? Oh...I wonder if i'd get away with a spare suitcase. Confused

Too numerous to mention...James Brown, Four Tops, Clash, Blondie, The Farm, The Drifters, Slade, Temptations etc etc....most of these were in the 70's when they were in their prime.

you should be fine with any of the translations in the bars they all understand english, are you of Latvian blood? it would make sense, they are all very nice when you talk to them!

back on the subject of gigs attended, I got back to my local on Sunday fresh of the plane and they had a Punk night, the skeptics, neon maniacs and 3cr. what a welcome home...8 pints of guiness later I had to go home and get ready for work!
