Nearly!!!
Quite a few years ago, my (then) husband was friends with Prince Charles, Lady Diana and Phil Collins.....we were invited to a dinner do, my chance to meet them, but I was very, very pregnant at the time and didn't feel like tarting up and acting on my best behavior, so I didn't go! Laughing

majeek

I worked in a hardware store and we got a couple of celebs in for DIY stuff.

Terry Nation, writer of the Dr Who series and inventor of the Daleks. Nice guy, very pleasant to talk to and even gave me a few tips on story writing.

Rod Hull. I found him to be rather snooty which is surprising since he came from a working class background himself. Being a comedian, you'd expect him to be up for a laugh. He brought in a bent up bolt with half the thread missing and asked if we had a bolt like that. I immediately said, "no, but I can put one in the vice and make it look like that if you want." He looks at you as much as to say, "I'm the comedian, not you."

His wife is the absolute opposite though, very pleasant and loves good humoured chat. My impression was that she likes a good joke and after meeting her husband, I guess she would have to. Confused

Least you had an excuse. I showed Baddiel and Skinner to their seats when they saw Boggie Nights, and never realised until a bit later when a friend of time told me Sad Dunno what I'd have said, but anyway. This was around the time they were uber cool (they still are, kinda) and 3 lions (world cup version) was relatively fresh in everyone's mind.
