I loathe vertically challenged celebrity control freak Tom Cruise, married the the equally freakish stepford wife robot Katie.
.........Why?............do I need a reason?.........ok...........it may have something to do with his passionate rant about Scientology. Oh yeah, and he has just set up a new 'Tom' website, mmmm can't wait to see it.

I dont hate any celebrity. Yes i am actually friends with one or two, but none have ever done me any harm. Hate is a strong word to use for someone who you dont know on a personal level.
As to Tom Cruise, why 'hate' him for being passionate about something he believes in? Good for him, I dont have to agree with his beliefs, but he is passionate about what he believes in, so I have no reason to hate him.
I 'hate' the bastard that spiked my son's drink with rohypnol and heroin and nearly killed him, but as for a celebrity, well they might get on my nerves once in a while when i see them encouraging young girls to be like stick insects, or they act utter fools on television, but i dont have to watch/read their stories do I.

Whilst I might have the occasional snort of laughter at the general ridiculousness of the whole idea of what makes a someone a celebrity (or not), I would say that on the whole I tend to just ignore any public airing of views , beliefs or trends by so-called celebrities, rather than ‘hate’ the people themselves, as such. After all, I don’t know them (well, apart from a handful from the music industry), so it makes not an iota of difference to me what they think, believe, do, or say (nor who they are shagging, nor which part of the French Riviera they have bared their breasts, nor who was at their wedding).

Having said that, I guess selfless philanthropic actions by notable people in the public eye are the exception.

Jodie Marsh. What is the point of her existence?

Although I suppose that isn't hate, more pity. Confused

May be off topic .......... but find it really strange when someone says that 'hate' someone but knows every little thing about them or talks about them a lot, celebrity or not ....... I agree 'hate' is a strong word ....... and if you dont like them, dont talk or read about them ...... Very Happy

it's odd when someone says something you do not expect.

but I dislike a lot of celebrities - not because they are celebrities though, just because they are people I dislike.

I try to be sensible and say well how can u judge someone you have never met?

But then its hard not to have general feeling about a personality after seeing them on t.v or reading about them in a newspaper.

too many celebs grind my gears so ill not bother with a list - fair to say Piers Morgan is at the top of it (If you can class him as a celeb)

Thanks for the reply. Interesting reaction.

The truth is, I am deeply in love with 'Tom' and wish to give birth to his alien lovechild........silently ofcourse.

P.S. This is not a serious thread, daft replies only please.
