Green Day before they were famous when they still played small venues. They are a great band but unfortunatly you cannot get anything like the same atomosphere in the massive venues they play now. Even a medium sized venue is bad for a punk gig. I saw the Damned for instance in the Victoria Hall in Stoke on Trent in 1985, and although they played good, the gig was too big and impersonal.

stone roses
the clash
Bauhaus (I believe they reformed, but it's not the same)
Nirvana (could have seen them, but never realised & wasn't into them until it was too late)
The Cure (kinda still going I know, but still unlikely I'll see them)
The beatles - to see if they were any good live.

I think that's it for now.

Muse, The Streets ( and their on the same line-up soon ), Snow Patrol, Zutons, Kaiser Chiefs.......So I still have a chance yet.

I'm going to tease you now, hehe. I've seen all of those bands Very Happy, and I've seen Muse twice. They really stood out from most of the bands I have seen over the last 2-3 years. I was gutted when I saw the streets, though, because the company & circumstances meant I missed most of their show :s I should have ran off and left them.

Oh wow! I hope I get the chance sometime, the last big name band I saw was The Who at Wembly, but nothing big since then Crying or Very sad . It was funny to see all the ex-mods/skinheads all grown up, bald and beer bellies ha! ha!

If you ever want someone to go see a band with, let me know I look out from time to time, but most of the time I'm too late to see someone around here that I've heard of.

it was a bit like that at the love pistols gig i went to in 2002 at crystal palace. although there were many young people there (like myself lol) there was quite a few middle aged looking men and women. great crowd though, and great gig
