It's just some of the lyrics.

Plus i'm soppy...I mean, I cry everytime I hear 'Over the rainbow' because I think of Eva Cassidy's version.

for me -

1. Eva Cassidy, Songbird.

Even hearing it on 'How do you solve a problem.....' last night brought a tear to my eye!

2. Linda Rondstat (sp?) and Aaron Neville - goodbye my friend.

My gran died the year that came out and even now I cannot listen to it without a box of tissues handy.

Fields of Gold has to be one of the best songs ever written no matter who is singing it IMO.

not the sadest song but a song by The Clash called Stay Free always has me reminiscing about old friends and the times we had.

I say it's "the blower's daughter" by Damien Rice from the movie "closer".
I get very sentimental when I hear this song, especially the last words '..til I find somebody new'
But if that would be so simple, life would be very boring!

Sarah McLachlan- in the arms of the angel

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an Angel fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
makes me cry.

eva cassedy - songbird- her voice haunts me

snow patrol- chasing cars- makes me think of someone and how much i miss them

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
