Howdy,
Some people have mentioned their own stuff here and there. I've been trying out my hand at recording seen as the guitar I have now has a decent preamp and pickup in it.

I'm just trying to get opinions on what people think and have some stuff up here with some more in depth explanations about the thoughts and feelings in them on my myspace page (linked from the site).

So that's that bit - has anyone got their own music stuff around on the net to look at?

(quoted from The Wire magazine, September 2005 issue, page 38 ) "The importance of The A-Band to the UK rock underground is commensurate with the explosive impact that groups like AMM, SME or The People Band had on the free jazz and Improv set. An ever-fluctuating group of artists, dole boys, punk conceptualists and record collectors, they were the first UK ensemble to anchor a free drone music in the muscle and scorchof the most high-energy rock, while keeping it as untutored as the most elemental folk."

We're playing a reunion gig up in Warrington in a few weeks, and making a documentary. Also we've just recorded our fourth album

Well most people tend to think they sound naff until they start letting other people hear and then get feedback. Took me years to record stuff and I wasn't sure about putting it out but now I'm getting into it.

I've got Myspace and Youtube accounts for my music now Smile

I don't even try vocals! I got my first real guitar 4 and a half years ago though didn't really pick it up properly till I got the Eko 3 and a half years ago. If you've got the time and the bloody minded persistance then it only takes a few years to get somewhere decent but you're always learning!

One of these days I might actually try to learn music theory too Laughing

Beddo,

I took the plunge last weekend and recorded a song for YouTube.

I can't sing, can't play too well either, but I wanted to have a bash at something, so here's me murdering a Foo Fighters song;

Hey, its not half bad Smile

I have a problem with playing strum songs..I get confused and can never remember where I am in the song unless there's enough variation to differentiate all the different bits. On the plus side, I learn quicker because I'm always trying to play things that are far more complicated than I can manage!

Even with the chords you did better than me with that song. For some reason I keep playing the d in the chorus for too long..ahh well!

I like electronics music like psychedelic trance and acid techno! The stuff on my myspace is old ( http://www.myspace.com/psycom ) and I don't get time to practise because music is my hobby Razz I prefer dj'n which I wouldn't call my own stuff because I'm not playing tracks I've made but in a way to play the same tracks as me all in the same order would be like winning the lottery Smile
