The Bends, Ok Computer and Kid A are fantastic albums.

Their last two albums were very disappointing though (although Hail To The Thief has a few decent tracks on it still).

Hopefully the next album will be a return to form for them.

Personally, I don't like them, or their music. I just don't enjoy listening to it. That may be because I prefer more upbeat music (in tone, not necessarily content of lyrics).

They can be a bit gloomy at times (i.e. Exit Music, How To Disappear Completely, etc...) most of their albums do have a few great tunes too.

Id recommend The Bends to anyone.

Whilst I think OK Computer and Kid A are better albums, The Bends is more accessable and a more 'upbeat' album.
Can't go wrong with songs like The Bends, Fake Plastic Trees, Bones, etc... (having said that, my favourite song on it is Street Spirit, the least upbeat song on the album!).

They make me want to cut myself, and I usually like emo music
Portishead are even worse

radiohead have done some good tunes, but some of it does seem very sombre.

One of our only bands that have done anything original in ages, how could you compare the like of Travis, Kaiser Cheifs, Killers, Arctic Monkeys etc.. BLAND BLAND BLAND.

As for those of you saying Amnesiac and Hail to the Theif were not too good, you just have not listened to them enough or properly!
