Just saw PJ Harvey at the Bridgewater Theatrre at the weekend.
Never seen her before, and I've got to say I was totally blown away!
Anybody else catch it?
Can't believe it's her only UK date for the whole year!
At least we've got her new album coming out in September.
She played a few of her new songs at the gig, and it sounds like the new album (think it's called White Chalk) is going to be amazing.

PJ for the win!!!

I love PJ, got a massive arty poster of her - is that verging on fanatical?

Speaking of the Harvey clan, also like Mick Harvey.

I saw her at glastonbury a few years ago. Great performer. I don't listen to her music as much as perhaps I should, but the same is true of a lot of good artists, I suppose.

Oh, and if you like PJ, you might also like Mark Lanegan's "Bubblegum" (if you haven't already got the album) - PJ Harvey sings on 2 tracks, but the album holds its own really. Moving a bit further down the family tree, Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan's album is also very good

Only heard a few songs and like what I hear. She's also damn sexy! Where's a good starting point, any particular album to start with?

I'm led to believe that she's also pretty much unattainable if you're a man. A nice thought though......

I liked that video, not seen it before. What is the song about?

I used to have the album "Dry", but lost it. I liked tracks like Walking on Water and Plants and Rags. Have never seen them on youtube. Somewhere I should have "Stories from the city, stories from the sea".

Sorry Jamie, a bit late with this one!
Stories from the city, stories from the sea
is a great place to start.
It won the mercury prize, so it's got great critical acclaim
Her new album is out very soon.
If you like rock, listen to dry
If you like eery music, listen to Is This Desire?
