I just stumbled across em today and reminded me how much i actually liked em at the time. It was when i was at uni in the mid to late 90's and the whole britpop/rock crossover! I do actually have "attack of the grey lantern"! Which was a cool album, but i heard "i can only disappoint u" today which is off another album, its such a great song and that Paul guy, the singer, had a great voice! Sadly missed i feel, split up in 2003. All things come to an end eh? I truly think that people in bands like that think they are in heaven and are sooo lucky, and then it all ends! It must be a big wake up call!
Anyway, thought id share this with anyone who can remember them, or was interested. Very Happy

Yep, that was Mansun.

Wide Open Space, Taxloss (with that awesome video of money being thrown at commuters), Stripper Vicar, Take It Easy Chicken, Legacy, Being A Girl, She Makes My Nose Bleed, et cetera

An awesome band - I saw them live just the once, in 1997

Still have the first two albums.

You can't beat a bit of Brit Pop! Remember Dodgy!? Shed 7 where good too! And the best Brit Pop album was The Bluetones debut.

One of the band members was from my home town. Pretty average I would say although I can't deny that Wide Open Space is a good song.

Wide Open Sapce was a good song and I will know have to track it down.

I really liked Reef as well. I know most people thought they were tossers but their song 'Consideration' will be played at my funeral because it is the most beautiful, uplifting song with a sentiment I whole heartedly agree with.
