The no1 soul brother..the godfather of soul, is dead.

He was a real legend and I saw him in his prime in the mid 70's, one of the best concerts I went to in a smallish Hall in Dunstable, and we all new we were watching a legend

Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner etc, all admit copied his dancing style in the 60's.

The first single I ever owned was 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World" which was released in 1966 and my sister gave me because she didn't like it.

RIP

Amen. I know it sounds trite but there truly will never be anybody else like him. He really was one-of-a kind, often imitated, never matched.

RIP James Brown, you'll be missed
