Hello peeps, just to let you know, cause i wanted to start my own thread, that Hybrid are my new favorite act. If you like your breakbeat/electronica then they are the don! They hail from Swansea and have done some great remixes aswell as there own stuff, remixes of FSOL's papua new guinea and others, aswell as there own albums "wider angle" and "i choose noise" absolutely stonking yet sometimes dark breakbeat madness! There's some lovely vocal stuff on "wider angle" which truly compliments some of the production they are famous for. I believe i saw them at Glastonbury once, but was so gone i cant remember if i truly took them in! Anyways, if anyone is into these guys add a post and what ya think.
Cheers dudes!

Yeah, I used to study in Swansea and I found out about them then. I agree that Finished Symphony is awesome, I used to hear it on the titles of a televised bout of boxing. I bought Morning Sci-fi a while back. It's alright, but they maybe need to shake things up a bit more. I mainly listen to metal, but I can still appreciate other styles, long as it's got some feeling to it (and not just happy pop).

Was into them a few years back, same as Way Out West. Don't listen to them much these days but it's good to hear one of thier classics now and again. Prefer my breakbeat a bit darker and techier these days. Went to see Lennie Dee at the weekend and he was immense. Does anyone remember him, he was one of the Acid House/Drum & Bass originators and he's still going strong. His set was seriously hard though, not a single melody the whole set, just beats, beats, beats! Great!

'Intensify' that's a great tune, was that Hybrid or Way Out West? I used to do a bit of DJing and it was always a sheer joy dropping it in a mix. If you like that sort of stuff you should check out some of the Global Underground compilations, Sasha's are always top notch.
