I knew the Iron Maiden song and you are correct about my lyrics, it is a Smiths song.

Not sure on your offering. I would guess Eminen because of the slim reference.

That Iron Maiden song is my favourite and will be played at my leaving do when i shuffle off this mortal coil. That and (predictably) Metallica - nothing else matters.

The last lyrics posted was from a song entitled "bitches" by the Insane Clown Posse.

Your turn.

Ready?

(hey man) oh leave me alone you know
(hey man) oh henry, get off the phone, I gotta
(hey man) I gotta straighten my face
This mellow thighed chick just put my spine out of place

David Bowie - Suffragette City

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done
That's what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me

Nina Simone - Feeling Good

All the leaves are brown
and the sky is grey
I've been for a walk
on a winter's day

Mamas and the Poppas- California Dreamin'

A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life but
Love can break your heart

Message in a bottle by The Police second favourite song by them Laughing

"Ain't no angel gonna greet me
It's just you and I my friend
And my clothes don't fit me no more
I walked a thousand miles
just to slip this skin"

the ever melancholic Streets of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen.

that was too easy for some people, Laura Wink . Here's difficulty notched up a bit.

"it's only a dream - it's all in your head
it's only some words somebody said
we can believe what we wanna believe
and you can believe in me"

"the night is alive - the world is asleep
dreaming of promises they can't keep
we gotta be tough, we gotta be strong
it's only love we've been waiting on."

that's the whole song leaving out the chorus.
if you can, try to guess minus the googlehint. Laughing

C'mon, C'mon, C'mon by Bryan Adams

"You give me miles and miles of mountains
And I'll ask for the sea
Is just what I'm going through
This is nothing new"

Laura - i do believe that was Damien Rice?

Next...

standing at the bus stop with my shopping in my hands
when I'm overhearing elder ladies as the rumours start to fly
you hear them
in the school yard
in the scrap yard
in the chip shop
in the phone box
in the pool hall
at the shoe stall
every corner turned around

it started with a school girl who was running
running home to her mam and dad
told them she was playing in the change room
of her local football side
they said tell us again she told them again
tell us the truth they found it hard to believe
cause he taught our steve even trained me
taught uncle john who's father of three

... One of my favouritestest songs ever!

Stereophonics. Great song.

Next:

Lucky you were born that far away so
So we could both make fun of distance
Lucky that I love a foreign land for
The lucky fact of your existence
Baby I would climb the Andes solely
To count the freckles on your body
Never could imagine there were only
Ten million ways to love somebody

Shakira! Wherever - Whenever.

I found myself singing it as i read it! LOL...

Okay...

"How could this be done
Your such a smiling sweetheart
Oh and your sweet and pretty face
In such an ugly way
Something so beautiful
That everytime I look inside"

Oakman - you get the impression we are the only two with no work to do?

I'm Heidi by the way.

Another great choice, The Kooks.

I heard the Shakira song on the radio this morning and I can't get it out of my head. One of the greatest love songs ever written and its got pan pipes in it too!

I am having an incredibly unproductive day at work. Very Happy

I'm Dom. Nice to meet you!

21.07.2008, 11:49 quote

deepthroath

Nice to meet you too Dom. :0)

I work in the property industry, so i dont seem to have any productive days at all at the moment...

Another song for you...

Now I will tell you what I've done for you -
50 thousand tears I've cried.
Screaming, deceiving and bleeding for you -
And you still won't hear me.

Don't want your hand this time - I'll save myself.
Maybe I'll wake up for once (wake up for once)
Not tormented daily defeated by you
Just when I thought I'd reached the bottom

21.07.2008, 12:06 quote

You've got me on that one. I'm going to have to let someone else get it. (Unless I can have a clue).
