- dont put email addresses, website addresses, phone numbers (or better: no numbers at all) on your profile.

- dont copy and paste the same or similiar private message(s) to several people. if you sends lots of identical or similiar messages to many people you are likely to be classified as a spammer (apart from that you would not get many replies anyway)

- try to have something and something meaningful in your details field on your profile - as scammers from Africa usually dont fill them in, have a terrible English or copy the text from other websites (easy to find out).

- also dont use the identical text on your profile if you are registerd on a another community website somewhere.

- if you happen to login on your holidays in Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Philipines...and countries with a high percentage of scammers, change your location at least while you are there.....wrong profile information (country doesnt match the country you are logged in from) might lead to your profile deletion as well ( together with other factors)

- and soon: no "rude" words in usernames

Remember: There are no warning messages....and when your profile is deleted it is gone - also your messages, pictures, friends list etc...forever.

sometimes "innocent" profiles will be affected...in really rare cases - but the effort to keep the site clean always has to stay in a sound ratio to the outcome.

Why does it happen that when I fill in that scrolling text box that goes under my photo it vanishes the next time I log in? Apart from once when I really didn't put much in it..

I did read that you couldn't put other web sites on here but all I had in it was my myspace address - and surely this couldn't be the reason as on these forums I see people who have their myspace addresses in their signature boxes..!

Does anyone know if this is the case?
