We might as well withdraw. Staying there does nothing but fuel the fire.

Will Iraq's citizens suffer if we withdraw? Yes.

But in reality, there suffering already. Bombs are going up daily and there not going to stop till we leave. It's not something we can get control of, in fact it was pure stupidity to declare war on terrorism, it's not a thing, it's not a person, it's an idea. Can't kill that, can't stop it.

Longer we stay there the worse it'll get, bombs blow up daily and kill our troops and there citizens. To make matters worse our soldiers quiet rightfully get nervous and have itchy trigger fingers (wouldn't you? Never knowing if the next guy to go by is armed, carrying a bomb.) and I'm sure there's a fair share of civilian casualty's because of us.

Don't know about you but if i saw these invaders that claim to be trying to help shooting my neighbor, friend whatever I'd be pretty pissed off. And that's exactly how these terrorists groups grow - recruiting pissed off young men that want to fight back.

So, in my opinion the one thing we can do is pull out. Iraq will go into a civil war no doubt, many will die and it'll eventually balance itself out down the line. In my book i don't see what other option there is right now we're just prolonging the inevitable.

this 10 minute clip from the film Zeitgeist might be of interest....although the final scenes might be a bit distressing.

The guys in the forces/ex-forces that I know, reckon Afghanistan is far more dangerous than Iraq. One of my RAF friends goes out there this week so I'll be worrying about him too.

I don't think there are any real solutions to these war torn countries, most of us don't understand the complexities underpinning the economies and ways of life to make informed judgements.

I just wish for peace!

So America was conned into joining World War II? What about Japans' invasion of Manchuria in China 1931, the rape of Nanking in 1937. Japans' expansion into southeast Asia threatening to bring a large part of Asia under Japanese occupation.

I don't think America was conned into that war, Japan was behaving bad enough and so had to be stopped. That video is crude propaganda.
