"Ok, the health system in the UK IS a significant matter.....if people have to wait for certain cancer related treatments 2-3 years, this is unacceptable for example."

Forgive me - bad choice of words. Of course they are significant - goes without saying, and I couldn't agree with you more - (trust me, these matters are falling apart over here).

What I was trying to say to LostSouthernBelle is that these matters are normally of concern internally. The lady had referred to being annoyed with her country or governmnent over those or similar matters, and I was trying to explain that the US's domestic agenda was not really the issue when it comes to perceptions of a negative attitude towards America. Europeans are not pissed off with the Bush administration over their attitude to medi-care, and speaking for myself, the apparent lack of attention many American citizens give to what their country is at abroad is worrying.

One good thing about George Bush is though, that now that he has made a big mistake with the Iraq war, he now tries to distract from it by changing his strategy by doing some environmental laws. I don't think he really cares about the environment though, but he wants to leave a better image in this remaining months/years in office. He won't sign the Kyoto protocoll or anything like that though....but at least it is a subject in the media now which could have some positive side-effects in general.

Sorry to be crude but I thought that typo was hilarious.

I have nothing constructive to say.

Sorry!

PS I love America.

But this man was making 95 per cent of his money from American gamblers where gambling is forbiddon. Imagine if he was selling drugs to Americans over the internet from abroad, would you consider him to be breaking American laws then?

Is it politically correct to say the USA is governed by a bunch of idiots? No matter whether it is "war against terrorism", "war against gambling" or starting wars for no reason.......nothing against Americans - just against Bush, the other war criminals and ex-alcoholics with an IQ below room temperature...that concentrate on the most ridiculous and naiive laws but do nothing about poverty or the educational system or weapons in their own country.

Uh......YES....I think you nailed that one on the head.
I was arrested and imprisoned in the USA for failing to sign a urinating in public ticket. Over there you have to sign the ticket at the very least guaranteeing that you will appear. Or you can choose to not sign and get arrested immediately. I went into an empty building lot and took a pee when all of a sudden the cruiser lights came on. Who's privacy was being invaded there?
I have seen cops lie on the stand and commit perjury for the sake of sending me to jail for two weeks and i have seen cops falsify arresting records in order to charge me with something big when i had a mental breakdown. Had the rookie of the trio lied as well i woul have been sent upstate for about 3.5 years. I DONT LIKE CORRUPT COPS or incompetent government officials
