Well, it's election day all over the country. Here in London we have a buffoon and a complete idiot competing fro London Mayor. I haven't mentioned any of the others but needless to say none of them will get a look in.

Gawd help London with Boris in charge but can we stand 4 more years of Ken and his nonsense?

What do you guys think, both in your area and of the London Mayoral race...

i don't bother voting, purely for the fact that i KNOW that certain area's votes don't mean anything and i happen to live in one of those area's... however when the next major election for prime-minister comes in... i'm thinking about spending out the 300 quid and havin a crack myself - i could sort this country and alot of it's problems out inside a week Twisted Evil

There wasn't much point voting in this area either. Some people pick political parties like they pick football teams, based on what their father was and grandfather was etc., without looking who would do more for them.

I went and voted though. Well if you don't, you can't really moan when they screw things up can you? Laughing

it would seem the country is in a similar frame of mind to that of 11 years ago.we dont trust the torries but then we are looking for change from the current regime.Boris is a celeb politician and even worst a racist/sexist/xenophob.i really do feel for the people of london.and i feel for every1 if the torries get in at the next general election.we will be raped and pillaged again so the rich can get richer.

as they say, every vote counts...but I didn't vote in my area either. I do try to do what I can with protesting a lot of the time, but needless to say, it's time politics was opened up a bit more so that the stupid voters know exactly what they are doing!

I voted green for everything, and really i only did that because i am sick of seeing british politics being a 3 horse race all the time. The 3 "main" parties seem to have a monopoly and i think its about time some other people got a chance to have a go. It may end up being good, it may end up being bad if one of the top 3 parties didnt govern the country but at least it could bring about a bit of change. Make voting compulsory, At least then the politicians will be obliged to have policies that the people they represent want.
Boris Johnson is just like George Bush, but without the brains! Laughing

So they took a beating and Boris won!

Oh dear, worse result since 1968 for Labour....and they lost the subsequent general election.

Still never mind. Plus ca change, plus ca meme chose!
