god

What's your opinion on Obama?

He has now turned out to:

- be in favour of the death penalty
- wants to support additional oil drillings near the coast line

....so not much different from Bush.

The only opinion I have on Obama, and indeed the entire American presidential race, is that our news channels should not be devoting so much time to it.

Yes, it is a news story. Yes, it will affect our country in terms of its relationship with others in the future. But lets get some perspective...its not our country he will be running, so it is not the top news story.

Well I can't imagine any US politician winning the Presidency who wouldn't support making them more fuel self sufficient in the current inflated market.

But to say he's not that different to Bush just based on two policies seems a bit odd.

Personally I think all his policies will be largely irrelevant as I don't see them electing a Black President for some time.

A few weeks ago on the week in Politics I saw supposedly serious politicians and political media types all nodding their heads over Obama like bunch of dumb idiots.

Now that was scary, no different view, no challenge to the concensus.

Whats that term....projection? Where you think someone is wonderful precisely because you know virtualy nothing about them.

American foreign policy won't change no matter who's in power.

The presidents change, the lobbyist's never do.

Its more a case of voting for the companies behind the candidate rather than the man himself.

McCain will be another Halliburton bitch however so thats why im all for Obama.

Rather than air a view, I decided to share a song.

And yes, too much UK coverage, definitely.

I really despise politics today - Its all just about having enough catchy soundbites and rubbing shoulders with celebs. At least with Mccain you know what you are getting.Better the devil you know maybe?

Obama is not so different to McCain in the past as senators they have both supported the same legislation many times, i can't believe anyone is shocked that most of his policies are the same a McCains and like McCain he is probably going to be another war mongering, cheating asshole like the former us presidents i.e nixon, bush and need i say anymore!! However I still wany Obama to be voted president because he's black whae i mean by that is that if the americans vote for McCain then they are keeping with the same old same old white presidents but if they vote for Obama then even if hs policies aren't that different then atleast America has evolved or progressed a little bit from there usual in that they have elected someone black.
There I go taking after my username!!!

I know Team America took it upon themselves to police the world, rightly or wrongly.
Obama wants to pull their troops out from just about everywhere.
If this was to happen, there would be more chance of Armageddon than the result of turning on the LHC.

Hes in trouble now for making the remark...

Barrack Obama wrote:
You can put lipstick on a pig, its still a pig.

Thats what you get for stealing a line from Rodney Marsh.

Back in 2002, after a surprise promotion to the Premier League, Marsh said this about us...

Rodney Marsh wrote:
Their new signings are like putting lipstick on a pig. If you put lipstick on a pig it’s still a pig.

Something tells me his opponents will not be using the same rebuttal as the Baggies fans Laughing
