Seriously though, I agree with Vanda and Red. Outlawing these images is going to do nothing to stop somebody who really wants to engage in these acts. Its just another example of the government having to be seen to be doing something.
This will have zero effect.

Would you tell a 5 year old that making babies is a man putting his hard, throbbing brain into a womans wet and willing c*nt? No, just like as a parent I wouldn't tell my children of 12-16 year olds about love beyond the basics of a loving couple (and the details of what you do) unless they asked. As a parent, it's important to be honest, but it's also about keeping it simple.
Yes kids have access to the internet, and although I can't control what mine look at outside of our home, I can use parental control in the home. I took the parental controls off the computer once I realised my youngest girl had become active.
Sexual information is something that should be imparted in small steps so when I say extreme I mean anything beyond what you would tell your own children. Once they are active, and for a lot of youngsters it's before 16, then it's up to them how they go forward with it.

It's no worse than my partner feeling the need to show me a scat vid that he'd been sent via a mate that made him want to vomit
It's one of life's little oddities that when something is really awful, you feel compelled to watch it. I'm sure it's a 'boy' thing

I don't think you have any real difference of intent with the law-makers. Both you and them are defining the kind of love you want to protect people from and the ways you want to protect them from it.
Maybe it's the simple case that you need to defend sado-masochism pornography in the courts when the time comes, although admittedly it could be a painful process ...
