I may be blowing my own trumpet a little but the medics on the Isle of Man are some of the best trained in the world.

Proof ?

We deal with this...... and they don't stop the racing while we treat and remove the unfortunate victims.

This is not for the faint hearted although it's not graphic in content:

Paul (the biker) made a good recovery but will never race again.

You can say that again... and he's one of the lucky ones - he made it to tell the tale.

What a beginner. Dont they have pre-qualifications to take part?
Maybe he should learn to handle his bike before going on a race...

if you go on a race without a steering damper, you shouldnt accelarate in the curves. but you never know what the road surface is like....so you need one in any case.

i am not a biker...but I heard when the bike starts wabbling you can try and hold the steering wheel with one hand only to reduce the wabbling.....

I've heard the same thing about the one hand thing (i'm not a biker either) but whether i'd want to try that at 180mph which is about the average speed for the TT "circuit"

you mean handlebars, bikes dont have steering wheels. and the wobble you describe is known as a 'tank slapper' steering dampers can help that problem but not completely solve it.
