As for England I didn't think they would beat the US. They have a good, underrated team...

Now that we're out, we should stop looking in the premiership/top flight football for our national picks.

Division one, there's a reason theyre in there, yes. But..i dont know if you've seen some of the goals these fuckers put in.

I mean for instance, freddie sears from crystal palace is alot better than heskey.

They'd also play like they actually want to win, not playing because they're obligated. I think we're too stuck up on picking people from our top league instead of looking at real talent. Like imo they should look at;

Freddy sears - Str
Anthony Pilkington - Mid
Nick bailey - Mid

And we need someone who can take a fucking free kick, we had like what? 4-5 in a good scoring pos that lampard hoofed over? the closest hes got to the goal in a free kick is hitting the fucking cross-bar. Useless square headed twat.

That's just sick. Evil or Very Mad

Got to want the Spanish to win this one.

Absolute dismal performance from England from the first pre tournament game onwards, they looked like strangers for much of it.

I can't believe how lucky Capello is that the FA fucked up with changing his contract, shocking how clueless he seemed throughout.

Oh and Handsel, even unused substitutes, subbed off players, coaches and managers can get red cards.

Who is everybody's tip for the final? Whoever wins it we will see a new nation crowned champions, as neither Spain nor the Netherlands have ever won it before.

Spain have been my tip throughoput the tournament, but the Netherlands have looked dangerous. Sneijder and Robben have been in terrific form all season.

Lineker reckons that Spain will have Holland under control, sees them as similar to Germany. Don't see it myself.

Should be an interesting tie, but not sure it'll be as thrilling as we'd all hope.

I'm backing Germany for third, but really not sure about the final.

Was right about the Germans getting third. Sad

25 mins in, mostly Spain so far, be surprised if Webb doesn't send off at least one player at this rate, possibly before half time.

I started the final hoping the Dutch would win..ended it hoping the Spannish would.

Not a good day for Dutch football. Although both teams acted like kids at times.

Hope the Dutch have a good look at the game on dvd and see that nope the ref wasn't responsible for them losing and in fact he helped keep them in the game a lot longer than they deserved.

The assault on Alonso merited a red card long before the one they eventually received.

Wasn't it the Dutch who played that kick-a-player-athon with the Portuguese last time around? It looks like they need to reconsider their overly physical approach. Or go the whole hog and get Sam Allardyce as their next manager.

the Dutch have only themselves to blame.all they were interested in was to kick lumps out of the spanish and try and nick a goal on the break.thank feck spain won because its a victory for a team whos plays football the way it should be played.

That was probably the most boring final i've ever seen. I knew spain would win, but i wanted the dutch to win..and it got to the point where i just wished anyone would fucking score.

what the marry is up with sergio ramos? that dude sprints up and attacks, then sprints back down to defend throughout the WHOLE match and doesnt even look tired? srsly. Sprinting up and down for 130 minutes. Then look at rooney, moves about 12 steps each half and looks like he's been hit by a truck at the end of the match lel.

Anyone else think iniesta looks like zebadee from football factory?

Why can't they just bring back the Hammer Throw to football matches to make it more exciting for the crowds, like the Millwall fans used to do in the 1980's...?!
