More surprised at low he has fallen really. Wonder if he really will stay there five years, can't see them achieving his aim of reaching the Premiership

Well Alonso went just as I'd started to think it was all paper talk
Glad we managed to keep Mascherano though, and Lucas looks to have improved so far.
And Aquilani comes in and passes a medical despite being injured atm, makes me wonder how strenuous the medical is.
Oh well good luck to the lad, hope he settles in as rapidly as Alonso did well once he's fit at least.
Still hoping we'll see some more players in but not convinced we will at this stage.
Good luck to Hamill on his way to Barnsley.
Elsewhere Lescott now seems most likely to stay at Everton doesn't seem like he'll be happy for now though.
Arsenal seem to have a desperately thin squad and have to wonder how they'd cope with injuries.

Le Tissier played all his career over 3 decades with Saints in the top division.

I know.....but....what I mean is.....the saints are now in a lower division, so they'll get lower division players!

Not sure Le Tis played over 3 decades at Soton, played within 3 decades. Sounds like he played 30 years.
Sorry about picking bones
