"he's short, he's wide, we'll float him down the clyde"

We need another striker.

Come back RVN, all is forgiven. Adebayor could be good, too. Sad

Tevez is officially gone to city.

Now I know how my forest fan friends felt when all of their best players were sold >.<

Good point lol

Ok I'll admit it was your best probably.

Having Adebayor and Rooney in the same team could be amusing, so much petulance in one team!

Well Laura suggested it Laughing

46 goals in 104 games isn't a bad league record though

Ok, Adebayor would be better than michael owen.

Saying that.......Diego Forlan would be better than Michael Owen. Come back Diego, all is forgiven Laughing Laughing

Scott - Adebayor IS overrated..but...we NEED a striker..Sad

it is a decent csmo but look at the teams he scored against - he aint a big game player for me - and i think owen will prove to be a good if not spectacular signing - will score goals for fun against the hull/portsmouth/boltons of this world

Yeah I guess, aren't those the same sort of teams Ade scored against too lol. Well he did get the only goal of the game against the mancs once, a couple against us, a feww against decent european sides and loved playing against spurs judging by his strike rate. Not a great team (sorry Jegs) but it's definitely a big game for an Arsenal player

Anyway looks like Adebayor is going to the wealthy side in Manchester now anyway. The certainly have the potential to do some damage this season.

Anyone think they really will get Terry too, I think it'd be good business for Chelsea provided they can bring someone in and there is plenty of time. I'd say Terry was past his peak now.

that true but owen is a free transfer - u shouldnt have to spend 30m to buy a bench player

Don't think he'd be on the bench especially if they'd not got Owen, but when he's on the treatment table he'd be fine anyway

I hope you're right.

United are still light up front, The Crock now signed up or not.

Really should have had a punt on Huntelaar. 10 mill max would have been enough-meaning there was still enough left over to clear the debt with. Proven goalscorer, would have ended up being a total bargain.

Looks like Distin is on his way to us then. Not my choice as THE replacement for Laursen, but a decent hand to have around.
