Now I never thought I'd be the one to say this, but if you've got a mortgage, forget Tottenham, you'd better stick it on the Albion to go down.

Tony Mowbray, Albion manager:
I can understand why we have been getting beat because I can see the weaknesses in my team at this level. There are some games I go into thinking to myself, 'We can't win today'.

I don't say that to my players or anyone else. But when you're up against the best like Torres and Keane, or Rooney and Ronaldo, you know you can't stop them because they are too good.

So until you get every piece of your own jigsaw right, you do go into some of these games fearful.

Now this is the bloke in charge of our team. We may be newly-promoted, but last time we were in the Premier we beat Arsenal at home and got a point at Old Trafford. Things are supposedly better now, shouldn't the team be going out beliving in itself? Trying to take points of the top teams?

And don't tell me its reverse psychology. It isn't. These powder-puff players won't respond to it.

At least in the past we had the fight if not the talent. Now we've got the talent, but won't even stand up for ourselves.

Back to the Championship.

I still think they will stay up.

It is pretty close at the moment..so there's going to be heartbreak for at least one team at the end of the season!

In my opinion I think Albion will go down. I think Stoke and West Ham will go down too. West Ham look shocking this season. For Bags sake, I hope Albion stay up - plus they play football, not the gung ho stuff. I for one hope my Swansea City do not get promoted as we are not ready for Premiership football - we need to consolidate at Championship level first.

That was our problem the first time round. We weren't ready for it. We didn't get battered every week, but we were out of our depth. Good to get the money in, and you do advance to another level though.

This time we were supposedly ready for it, but theres no realism. While its good to see a manager who will stand by his beliefs, it would be better to see a few more balls launched into touch and not be propping up the table.

I aint saying this for cheap heat andrew cos id really love for ur lads to stay up but it aint ever gonna happen cos they play too open a game for a side just promoted.they should take some tips from stoke and hull cos on paper i feel that albion have a better squad of players than either of them

I agree. We have a better squad than Stoke or Hull, but will finish below them because we fail to make it hard for teams to score against us. We'd sooner pass it short than boot it up the pitch, when thats what is neccesary sometimes.

that was mowbrays shortfall at hibs - great when everything was going well on the deck but pyhsical sides just battered them into losing silly points

I'm a Newcastle fan... but I can't see us getting sent down anytime soon.

but you never know with football, if West Brom did go down, id expect them to be back in the prem again soon.
