Tonite Marco Fu just won the Grand Prix and I'm very happy for him. He had this comin' for years nd I couldn't get what was stopping him. Nd now he finally got it! So...

Well done, MARCO!
Good game, Ronnie!

One of the best finals I've ever seen... When soul (heart) meets reason. What can be better? Marco = reason, Ronnie = soul. Marco = mathematics, Ronnie = SF.

Bliss, you have this in the wrong section. Snooker is a game, not a sport.

Football is a sport because it involves *shock horror* excersize. Fitness is a prime concern. Snooker, like darts, is a pub game where fitness levels are irrelevant.

Rite... Why don't you try and play snooker for hours and stay in the same position just so you know what it'll do to your back and legs and what arm muscles you'll get if you hold the cue right. Piss offa.

You were speaking of fitness making a sport. Should I get my blackboard out again?

Just because they get some muscles does not mean they are fit. They don't have to run, jump, or do anything very active. Football = sport. Running = sport. Snooker, like darts, = pub game.

I had this same though over the Masters and this is the exact argument i came up with as well. I agree with it. You try standing on your feet all day long. Bending over hundreds of times with one leg at an awkward angle using a stick very carefully to push balls into pockets. If you dont feel tired after that you must be exceptional.

Today Stephen Maguire scored a 147 at the China Open and found his way to the finals. Hope he wins tomorrow! Good luck, Magsimus!
