Pre match - Given my late return home on Sunday morning (how can it be that i get home 2 hours later than people that left club 2 hours after me? all i can say is I blame the following people - the darios staff/Kirstens Brother for not leaving Cav till closing time/Kirsten for draggin me away from stereo *cough* and Ill take a portion of the blame for insisting on modelling my Incredible Hulk boxer shorts) then it was a minor miracle that i awoke at 9am unaided.

Catching a number one bus on time on a sunday was a good omen for what was to occur later in the day althought due to Thomo being as slow as a week in jail we nearly missed it.We met Lord Campbell/Daz/Riddell/Rab & Frog at easter rd and soon arrived at the Bush Bar with a couple of carry outs. The polis were very understanding (Fair play to them) and we were well behaved bar one blast of the john leslie song.

It was soon time to find our seats but beforehand i felt compelled to have a little flutter on the match. The look on the other guys faces said it all - I had nade 1st goal and 2-0 hearts at odds of 45-1 but only parted with a couple of quid (Anyone who knows me well enough will know that i made 600 quid for correctly guessing two 4-0 wins in the 05.06)

Ill take this opportunity to apologise to anyone that had to listen to my inane ramblings from 11.30am to 2.15 pm in the stadium. The occassion got the better of me

The hibs end was very subdued and some of their fans had decided to turn up as empty seats again in tribute to the hampden semi 3 years back.

Player Ratings

Janice 7 - As I said after last weeks league derby,Good keepers turn games round for you and thats exactly what he did after 16 minutes. It was a great interception and through ball from Bamba who for me was once again Hibs best player by a mile and although it could be argued that Fletcher could and should have done better,Janice still done well to get a hand to the ball.Given Hearts formation and system to fall behind would have proved hard to overturn.

Eggert 7 - On first 5 months form,Def a contender for player of the year.A great athlete who is by no means the finished article but still suprised this lad has not been touted for a move this month not that im complaining.

Wall E 8 - Fair enough he was only up against JJ who after losing the pace he was famous for at the gers is a shadow of his former self but he linked with driver superbly especially in the second half and pressed hibs up the park well.

Zal 6 - Could have sold the game twice in opening 20 but was fairly comfortable after that probably due to the fact that Hibs deployed long aimless balls towards Ratboy

Berra 8 - Strolled throughout match and showed great discipline and attitude to not get involved when Ratboy tried riling him after Fletcher sending off.Shame he will probably be off in the summer.

Karipidis 7 - Protected the back four well and showed why he was badly missed in midweek.A few stray passes were soon forgotten when he found Glen for the clinching goal.

Mika 9 - Probably his finest moment in a hearts jersey.Has adapted to the physical demands of the SPL whilst still showing his calming influence on the ball.MOTM

Obua 7 - Dug in even when things werent going right for him in the opening half an hour.Still over elaborates on the ball and a tad cumberson but still his best game to date since signing.

Chesney 8 - Fairly quiet early on but then went on to enjoy a fine match which was suprising given his lack of fighting qualities normally.I was glad to be wrong about his inclusion in the team yesterday.

Driver 9 - Didn't give the back four a moments peace and Van Zanten will be waking up in cold sweats after the roasting he was given.

Eddie Murphy 9 - His finest performance since trading places lol - nah seriously the tank was magnificent yesterday and deserved his goal.

Glen 7 - Lovely composure for the goal and even better celebration. And he won me 90 quid

The Sending Off - I feel it was deserving of a red card but can understand the Hibs fans views - Fletcher is not a voilent player and I dont belive there was any malice in the tackle but it was still reckless regardless of whether he made contact or not.

Mixu - Tactically inept and his lack of class and discipline seems to be having an effect on his players. The signing of Rat boy has not paid off so far and he even gets his fish mixed up - salmon leaps in the air Mixu not brown trout ur Fat Graham Norton pumpkin headed marry!!!!!!!!

Couple of final notes - I have to applaud Hibs fans as they seemed to want to atone their failure to observe a minutes silence last week by having 90 minutes yesterday. Also can i just clear up that me and Campbell are not an item even tho our actions after the 2nd goal would say otherwise lol (think Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar in Cruel Intentions lol)
