What I always remember is 1978 when Ipswich led the first division most of the season, but finished 2nd as Villa snatched it off them Very Happy but they were two good teams.

Another memory which has left a bad taste in my mouth about the scum press.

When he became manager of England, he got nothing but grief from the media because the media wanted Brian Clough also he dropped Kevin Keegan.

His first match was against Denmark, and the press predicted no one would turn up..he was nearly in tears afterwards because about 70,000 attended.

Shortly after he said he would resign in favour of Brian Cluogh if thats what the country wanted, but the FA rejected it.

Also they gave him grief because he started to go gray, and the media made out it was because he couldn't handle the pressure of being England manager.

I hate the written media. UT

The man was honoured during his life and that will continue forever.

The man was a scholor and a gentleman and will be sorely missed. There should people weeping in the streets and parties organised to celebrate the GREAT MAN.

I vaguely remember him towards the end of his playing career. Had [and probably still have] as a kid, a football annual with his picture in it as a player.
He was one of the good players.
