Good result for Ireland to get a tie against Zimbabwe. Although Zimbabwe is not one of the top team, it was nearly a shock by Ireland.

Ireland: Total 221 for 9 (50.0 ovs)

Zimbabwe: Total 221 for 9 (50.0 ovs)

It was exciting just following it on the BBC website >> http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/other_international/zimbabwe/latest_scorecard/default.stm I'll have to get Sky sports on

Blimey..an even better result by Ireland beating Pakistan..... I thought Pakistan would have been one of the favorites but now they are out of it Surprised

Pakistan: 132 all out (45.4 ovs)
Ireland: 133 for 7 (41.4 ovs)
Ireland beat Pakistan by 3 wickets

Then there has been another shock Bangladesh v India.

Bangladesh: 192-5 ( 48.3 overs )
India: 191 all out ( 49.3 overs )
Bangladesh beat India by 5 wickets

To think the experts were saying that teams like Ireland and Bangladesh shouldn't be in it.

and didn't they made hard work of that too..

I only wish that England would come out guns blazing and get a bit of the Australian playing spriit - no matter who the team is, rub their faces in the dirt, and then rub it in a bit harder...

I know that England got the two points, but for heavens sake, Ireland are (arguebly) the weakest team in the super 8's.... I'm really fearful we're going to get a right paxo-ing against Sri Lanka..

Unless the England team are playing with the other teams minds...

Can you see that ?? Nah... neither can I

Ireland have done well so far throughout the WC...although to be honest they never looked like beating England. I reckon if the England players play to their abilities, we could possibly do well..but the openers have to do better.
