I predict that in 2010-2011 groups of men will kick and throw an inflated circular bladder within the confines of a field, and then attempt to kick it through a rectangular metal frame at either end of the field during a fixed amount of time, then go home.

If they play to our abilities and believe in themselves there's a good chance. We will hopefully be better then last season.

Why do you think Man City will end up higher then spurs??

Spurs wont get higher than united, its impossible. It takes more than belief. and chelsea could prob do it, if they arent so busy cheating on their wags to play decent football

Basing it off of last season and players, your top goal scorer would be jermain defoe, played 34 games and scored 18 goals, whereas tevez played 35 games and scored 23 goals..adebayor played 26 games and scored 14 goals.

It just looks like man city have the better midfield + strikers. I guess we'll just have to find out on saturday.

Its not impossible..I have seen us finish above Man U loads of times in the last 45 years.

Last season, we could have got something in both matches againt Man U..but we were a bit overawed and gave them to much credit. Hopefully this season will be different with more experience and belief in ourselves.

They aint the threat they were 10 years ago...some of their players are a bit old now Smile

We finished above them last season, and we will be better this year in my opinion. More experienced for one thing. Not sure they will be.

Not sure why you think that??

Well, seems i was proven wrong by tottenhams performance today.

By the better strikers and midfield, it's this;

City : Tevez - Robinho - Adebayor - Bellamy

Tottenham : Defoe - Crouch - Pavlyochececasckainko (cant spell his name)

Those are the striker options.

Tevez is a tank and he's quite accurate too, robinho is fast on his feet and very skillful. Adebayor is a mix between Tevez and Robinho, whereas Defoe has great positioning but i wouldnt trust him to run the ball as far as i would robinho/tevez. Crouch is average at best.

But, if it wasnt for joe hart city would have lost about 3-0 today. Funnily enough. But i still don't think tottenham have what it takes to finish higher than manchester united.

I must be the only person in Britain, not really impressed in Man City's acquisitions. I think they have spent a lot of money on above average players and cast offs. They wont be able to get any real world class players until they get into the champs league. Spurs tried for years and 'nearly signed' a lot of world class players Rolling Eyes Laughing now maybe we can get some.

We'll have to finish better then we did at the weekend, if we want to finish in the top four again. Me saying 'we will be better' means better finishing then last season. We missed a lot of open goals Surprised

No i agree with you on that, i dont think for what city has spent that they've aquired anyone special. Other than Tevez, if you remember in the last 5 minutes of Argentina vs Germany he literally carried Argentina on his back, he ran the ball from midfield to the box and went down a few times, but got straight back up and tackled the ball back. If he was to play like that 24/7 he really could be dangerous.

As much as i hate to admit it, Chelsea were more wise about how they spent their money.

I mean look, they're spending 26M on james milner who's not even worth 10M in my book. It's amazing what 2-3 good crosses can do for your career eh? I mean beckham increased his value by about 15M when he scored that free-kick against greece ha.But yeah dont get me wrong. i'd rather see tottenham above man city, and liverpool above tottenham with united on top Wink
