Well I'm definitely a diamond with a flaw, even if i do say so myself.

It is a Chinese proverb from Confucius, I just love those old proverbs, they make a lot of sense most of the time.

I can sympathise with you there, I have a similar problem, the only difference is that the kids live with me, but she won't even talk to me about their welfare. Confused

You may find some help in this forum: http://equalparenting.org/phpBB2/

If your ex will agree to sign a parental responsibility form, the school are then obliged to keep you informed as much as the mother.

If she doesn't want to sign her rights away (why would she after all, if she doesn't want to freely share them in the first place), then the legal approach is very much stacked against you.

I was VERY confused there for a moment, then I remember I had this in my sig

"I push my fingers into my eyes,
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache,
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it"

It's lyrics from Slipknots song Duality. Very Happy

Hi Lobylou,

I'm from Cumbria I'm afraid so not too near to you. Great you started the topic though and a shame it isn't used a little more. Just a note to the others though for what it's worth, would be good some days to tell the mother of my six year old how things are going but she's a long way upstairs I'm afraid. Be thankful you get the chance... Oh yes, i suppose some of you may wish your ex to be there but the finality of it all isn't so good for the kids.

Louby, hope your doing alright.

Mark xx
