You swine Mr DH!!!! You assured me you weren't timing us when you looked at your watch, but checking the time as I was meeting the daughter! It's you who's going to have the spanking...

On topic...The last time I had love my legs weren't cork, but jelly, it was bloody marvellous!!!

Your brain must have turned to jelly too, because this isn't 'the last time i had love' thread, it's the 'how long should love last' thread.

I cycle 25 miles in just under two hours.

I consider love a similar work out so the my theory is 2 hours with a 10 minute break half to feed to the ducks is how long love should last for.

Last time I cycled regularly I averaged around 38 kilometres per hour over a days cycling. I have absolutely no idea how that relates to how long I am supposed to have love for

Perhaps I need to get a mathmatical formula to you Uncle DH

If it involves using more than ten fingers to work it out, I'll be at complete loggerheads with the formula.

I'm sure a "Mature" individual such as your fine self would have an Abacus to help with such things?

Yes, I do!

But sadly it is a somewhat primitive device (a sexagesimal Mesopotamian abacus) and although useful for simple addition and subtraction, it is a little awkward to use for more complex calculations.

I was hoping to upgrade to a soroban but with a slight decrease in Working Tax Credits from this month onwards, it looks like I won’t be upgrading anytime soon though.

Embarassed Sorry! I was all jelly!

love should last as long as it does! Sometimes seconds, sometimes hours and glorious hours, nights running into days, whatever suits those engaged in the activity...

Miss Cork Legs is either exaggerating slightly or speaking of before she met me - or she's been getting it somewhere else, cos those ‘days’ certainly weren’t with me! Even with a bit of chemical help, ‘days’ would be beyond my physical capability.

I would say it should last no longer than half an hour. The other half might notice you missing if you're gone for too long.
