Hey everyone,

I've lived in Glasgow about a year now and 8 months of that has been in a relationship (recently ended a month ago). Now looking to get out there and meet people, for either nice fun or dating. So the question is, where's a good place in Glasgow for either of those? I'm based around the city centre, if anyone can help (or even wants to meet) then get in touch x

i looked at this msg before i didn't reply. I know glasgow pretty well, its a great city and there's lots of good bars & clubs to choose from to suit any taste. but i choose places i want to go by the music, atmosphere, special event etc not bcoz i think it would be good place for dating or nice so i dont know how to answer your question

Ive always wondered - and Im not being rude here - but if you just want love, and nothing else then why not just pay for it.... Cheaper than a date for a night - no meals, drinks or taxi's to pay for, and you can be home in time for match of the day. Now where to get that in Glasgow? Ive forgotten the road name but the one that runs towards the hotels all the business men use (strange that).

Apart from that try some of the clubs along Sauchihall street - western end of that is where the students live and the clubs are quit lively because of it.


And to get someone to date? Well, if I knew where to go and it was dead easy I wouldnt be on here so often!

or if ur not just looking for love then give me better idea of type of places you like going, music interests etc & i'll recommend some places for you to check out.
think darkhorse might have been speaking about bothwell st or one of the streets parallel with sauchiehall street.
there are quite a few lap dancing clubs in glasgow as well if that's wot ur looking for but i don't think that's really the best route

In all honesty the nice love thing is just a short term thing until I feel ready for a relationship again. Split up with the gf about 2 months ago now, and naturally don't want to jump straight into another relationship.

So ideas for just nice places to go and meet people would be good!

Would it be better, instead of nice to go for good old flirting? A couple of hours being flirted to will boost any ego and make you feel better, where as nice will satisfy a need for the night but will it make things better in the morning - at least with having a laugh with ladies you will wake in the morning and think 'Hey, they were loving me last night' and get a boost from that?

So perhaps a few nights out, take some colleagues, have a laugh, some dancing, silly flirting, and see what happens.



Yes - I remember now - Bothwell street. Its been a few yers since I lived up there so memories going a bit for street names.
