Yeah Wolverine in the animated series was alright. He acted tough but kept getting beat up, just like in the comics
And yes Rogue was bad. She needed more Southern spunk like in the comics.

I am also a big fan of the books. However I never expected them to make a direct comic to film adaptation. The sheer level of continuity they would need to explain makes it implausible. As for the car ...

The only thing the same between the book and the film is the lead character dressing as a postman.
