I also just finished The Portrait of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde. I've read other stuff but never this one and I never knew the end before now, it really stirred some passionate feelings (of hate!) for Dorian!!
I love Oscar. His prose scintilates like an old lady's jewelbox in the sunshine. It's been a while since I read Dorian Gray though. I seem to remember feeling sorry for the character rather than hating him. Isn't it a tragedy? Dorian more or less misses the point of life in his preoccupation with surface beauty and that blindness inevitably leads to his destruction.
Whatever out interpretations, thanks for reminding me about it, time I read it again.

I've finally got round to reading the Harry Potter collection, so I'm half way through Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban.
Recently finished Chopper 3: Hell Hath No Fury Like a Mate Shot in the Arse - Mark Brandon Read which was a good, yet violent read that he wrote whilst in prison.

I've just finished reading the Twilight series of books. I fall wildly outside of the demographic (in both age, and gender) but I found them... reasonably enjoyable. Most of the time the characters got on my nerves, the storylines became a little dreary but the actual writing is of a very high standard, which pleased me.
I'm extremely annoyed with "Nice" Vampire books though, there's too many of them. I want a good, old fashioned blood fest vampire book, and may even write one myself, because I think the world needs one.

The Scots Dialect Dictionary
The 1811 Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue
The Enlarged Devil's Dictionary
(All 3 are bloody hopeless: loads of words but no story or plot at all.)

Publisher probably vetoed the original title:
Bollocks in the Garden.
