This is not a txt speak complaint thread.
Ido my best to not start every sentance with the letter I. I find it egotistical, not single minded. I also find most I writers are me me me.But I could be wrong.
I can not do anything about it, it is just a gripe.

This thread in an attempt to discuss the use of ones literary skills. I have read many statements, letters, sites, not FB in particular just in general. What I have noticed mostly is the basic level of grammer is failing. Is everybody gone a bit thick or just plain lazy? Where have the imagination triggers gone?
To start:
and;but;
Am I correct in thinking these two examples are not to be used at the begining of any sentance?
A boring question but one I feel has its own importance.

It is true that you should not start a sentence with 'and' or 'but'
I have done it before and have been fully aware that I have been doing it. The question I ask is how many people are doing it and know they are doing it? This question covers all grammatical errors.

Grammatical 'anomalies' can sometimes be used to emphasise a point.
When it comes to it's and its then I'm just lazy. Get annoyed by there, their and they're though.
Look at them over their. They ought to get they're grammar sorted. There idiots!.....

I was taught that at school. It may be something I do without thinking nowadays.
(PS - TW, it is grammar, not grammer)

I agree, but first you need to attain a certain level of grammar before your able to use such anomalies.
As for there etc, yours are just the same.

I wondered how long it would take someone to pick up on that.

Sic is a Latin word meaning "thus", "so", "as such", or "just as that". In writing, it is placed within square brackets and usually italicized [sic]to indicate that an incorrect or unusual spelling, phrase, punctuation, and/or other preceding quoted material has been reproduced verbatim from the quoted original and is not a transcription error.
