The stream of loss caress these days
As time awaits morn’s torpid gaze
Calls forth with gentle fragile frame
To rise beneath this silent shame

What meaning did I lose with she?
I do not know yet must leave be
Love’s paradox is to let go
To not would be a selfish show

And thus the curtain fades away
My love for her has yet to shade
A prayer fixated on a dime
Is that she may return in time

The first verse sounds like it could have been written mid-17th century.
