I guess a poetry bloke
Should write in verse
Not the best looking
But neither the worse

Looking for love
With lots of romance
I don't like the city
And I can't dance

I'd like to travel
Do something with life
Now that I no longer
Seem to have a wife

I won't harp on
About the fact I lost her
So if you live within
A hundred miles of Gloucester

I'll happily reply
To enquiries and emails
Promise not to tell
Any false tales

If you fancy
A drink down the pub
Or just a coffee
Even resturaunt grub

A walk in the country
Or a cozy night in
Then you may have found
A good place to begin

Nothing wierd
Underhand or shady
I'm just looking
For a nice honest lady

If you happen to think
My poetry is hell
Well perhaps I should mention
I write sonnets as well

But by then all the ladies
May well be taken

Some seem to have joined
In 2005
Guess they are gone
Or no longer alive

So I'll keep on looking
And hoping too
A lonely old git
With nothing better to do
