Sorry, I thought you'd just posted poetry in the wrong thread (the limerick thread).

There is no need for anyone to fight...
Vixen wrote poetry, thats right...
but with limericks you see
its not always easy
to come up with something try as you might

Has anyone seen anything of Dom?
He was here one moment, now has gone
with his penchant for leather
and this marvellous weather
I do hope his antics havent gone wrong.

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I loved your little poem-cum-limerick-whatever.

Perhaps scaramuccia needs to define for us what he constitutes a limerick, as opposed to a poem, and also then in that case Stu if you insist we all stick to the correct forums may I suggest that you and your missus refrain from discussing your bedroom antics anywhere other than the Flirting Thread? Evil or Very Mad

Or were you joking, and LV and I took you too seriously? In which case you owe LV an apology. Wink

I don't think he intended to offend.

Well a limerick is a humorous five line stanza. So it isn't a matter of what he constitutes as one. Although as to what is humorous is as always debatable.

I too did like what LV produced for what it's worth. And glad I came back here as I see she's changed it to a limerick on the first page now.

I liked it too. We need more limericks on this thread. Keep them coming LV.

I know what a limerick is compared to a poem.
Does it really matter?
There was no need for LV to delete her poem And 'change it' to a limerick.
That was just pedantic.

(hey, this is my contribution to a 5 line stanza limerick, but its neither humorous nor does it rhyme. Maybe I should delete it before someone moans at my sad efforts at limerick writing? Or is it Haiku?). Laughing Laughing Laughing

Didn't read as if you did.
Apparently it did matter to Stu.
LV clearly thought there was a need to change it. And now we have both so that sounds like a winning scenario.
Maybe.

You probably should.

I love your free-style prose there! Though I think that might be Liberal Haiku. (I'm thinking Howard Barker here...)

Of my antics you don't want to hear
Envolving a lady, a paddle and a leer
They were quite frenetic
And hugely energetic
And left a red mark on my rear

An ode to a mighty fine bird
With the greatest knockers in town, so I've heard
That rugby-playing queen
Needs ravishing on a trampoline
By a limerick writing nerd.

Hmmmm. My limerick powers let me down. I'll try to do better next time. Chin up girl!

Heidi was a woman twas said
Many a man saw her bed
not all it would seem
lived out their dream
of getting her to give them head

she preferred instead to receive
the delights of which did aggreive
the neighbours, they groaned
When she lets out a moan
Tis so load from the trees the birds leave!

To remedy rare problems like this
and obtain with the neighbours some bliss,
shove in her yap
a loaded mouse trap
And no sound will escape but a hiss!

But be careful when finishing off
should she fart, sneeze burp or ney cough!
the trap will close down
in her blood she will drown
And murder they'll cry carrying you off!

Rolling Eyes

Can do so much better. Guess my heart isnt in it today!
