I am not very good at this poetry malarky, more funny limeriks, but heres something i did. Its shit, but hey, you cant be 100% perfect...



He sits across from me.
Our eyes meet and the first prickle of anticipation runs up and down my spine.
I feel myself burn crimson as the gaze continues until I can look no more.
I feel his eyes bore into me, as my cheeks flush and I realise I want him.

I have to have him.

Later on we are standing closer.
I can feel the electricity from his body as the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
I turn to look at him and he catches my eye.
The butterflies in my stomach try and escape through my mouth but I just smile at him and turn away.
I feel his eyes bore into me, as my cheeks flush and I know I want him.

I have to have him.

Some time later and we are talking.
His body heat is making me dizzy, and the strength in his arms and shoulders is making me struggle for breath.
He leans in to whisper in my ear and our cheeks brush.
My whole body burns as he pulls away and sees I have my eyes closed and am biting my lip.
I feel his eyes bore into me, as my cheeks flush and I know I need him.

I have to have him.

The first kiss comes as a surprise.
He strokes my face in one hand, and looks into my eyes and leans into me.
My whole body is screaming, aching, yearning, exploding.
Our lips meet slowly and gently, a flicker of his tongue and the taste of him
I struggle to open my eyes as I recover from the exhilaration
I feel his eyes bore into me, as my cheeks flush and I know I have to have him.

I have to have him.

Oooh blimey that's a bit racy isn't it.

That's my favourite bit

WOW! A great opening for a novel. It's steamy, yet romantic. There's a yearning in the words that go beyond love. I'm impressed DT.
