Just had a fleeting look at the list....1984? I also briefly checked out the main website and can see no reference to these banned books.
Any idea who or why or where these books are banned?

1984 was banned a few times since it was published. Too subversive for some places.

One of the Waterstones in town had a banned books section a littl while ago. Books that had been banned all over the world for many different reasons (though mainly religious) and I was surprised to see that I'd read 70% of them.
