1984 was banned a few times since it was published. Too subversive for some places.

People who ban books (for whatever reason) are the same people that hide under trees during lightning storms .

One of the Waterstones in town had a banned books section a littl while ago. Books that had been banned all over the world for many different reasons (though mainly religious) and I was surprised to see that I'd read 70% of them.
