I am an animal
A subject
I'm prostrate before you
You have the nice shoes
But you choose to hurt me
It's so easy
It happens all of the time
I'm in a cage and I cannot fight back if I'm reeling
Help me and I'll love you
I'm touted to be quite a friend

I am an animal
My problems are many
They're tenfold
You see right through me
Well, not at first
In about two years
Then I am out on my ear
I keep on moving
It feels like I'm 'Homeward Bound'
Stopping in places until somebody finds me a home

I am an animal
I don't bite
I'm a good boy and well trained
We'll go out walking and at sunset we'll both sit together
But I'm not there for the view
Time slowly passes then you cannot stand me at all
When I'm in a mood I will take a big shit on your floor
I'll clean it up so it looks like I help in the kitchen
But none of it's worth it
Why did you release me at all?
